i wondered whether any of the private girls go for gothic looks, fashion, music and clubs as part of their lifestyle preference? possibly not - as the goth scene is not as big in eastern europe (from where many of the private girls hail) as in the west.

Michael Ninn definitely has a gothic sensibility. He is interviewed about this in Gavin Baddeley's 'Goth Chic' (Plexus, 2002, p.243).
As for Ninn's Private work - 'Perfect' has some absorbing goth themes, though it's not a fully gothic film; and there are some wonderfully moody ethereal tracks in the incidental music (which are isolated for us as an audio bonus in the 'extras' disc. Check out Track 3, called 'Too Far Away').

Michelle Wild - now with longer hair than in her earlier appearances - has a fantastic latex fetish-goth image in her star photoset sourced from 'Sex' magazine #45. with raven black hair and heavy black eyeshadow, she looks sexily vampiric and better than ever, in my opinion...

Belladona as Walpurga in Jose M Ponce's 'Faust: The Power of Sex' gives, arguably, Private's most accomplished performance in the field of gothic porn.

dvd scene selection 7:

in the extra materials 'report' for this dvd, nach vidal (mephistopheles) and toni ribas (faust) are interviewed at length about their views on porn and each other's performances. toni ribas has interesting comments to make (if a little unclearly) about how, to his mind, jose m. ponce is beginning in this movie to achieve a balance between two genres: (i) the realism and authenticity of "good sex" as found in "gonzo" style porn, and (ii) the "aesthetics and splendour" of the sort of porn production which has all "the resources of cinema" at its disposal. scene 7 illustrates how ponce is working towards the best of both worlds.
mephisto introduces walpurga as the embodiment of his power, the power of sex, and we see her at work with two guys - on a set dressed in crimson and chains. throughout the movie, dark walpurga has 'big hair' and heavy eye make-up in the style of a goth. for this scene, she is wearing a costume comprised of green bits which dangle like the tendrils of a triffid and which sway loosely about her fulsome body as she performs. the sex begins with a blowjob sequence in which walpurga crouches between the two guys and works her head between their cocks in a frenzy of alternation. we see at once the sort of thing which ribas is talking about when he praises the emphasis on messy realism which is found in the work of americans like andrew blake, joey silvera and john stagliano: walpurga is deep-throating each man completely, then bobbing her head up and down their pricks at a maniacal pace while they, for their part, make thrusting, lancing motions at her mouth. long trails of saliva hang between her face and their cocks, and she lets the goo which has gathered in her mouth during her deep-throating activities drop down from between her red lips. walpurga is played by belladona, who is an american girl, and it is clear from this scene that she is no stranger to the american art-form of deep-throating! after this, she continues to suck on one guy while bending over so that the other guy can do her doggy-style. as this is happening, her haunches, thighs and buttocks are angled towards the camera - and we can relish the ample expanse of firm flesh which makes up belladona's butt! the rest of the scene is a tit-bobbing, ass-busting exercise in pure pleasure.

scene selection 8:

for this scene, some black mesh finery is added to belladona's light gothic costume, and she fellates toni ribas in a much gentler, more measured style than the messy approach she took with the guys in the scene before. before long, though, nach vidal is also involved in the action, and belladona is getting an energetic dp with the two lead men of the film. in the 'report', there's an amusing argument between vidal and ribas about what they think of each other's approach to the girls in the sex scenes they do, and despite their obvious friendship there are times when this quarrel gets a little uncomfortable. if you've seen that interview, there's an extra fascination in watching them share belladona for this dp! but the scene has a surprise ending: in struts sophie evans, wearing a fetching dark wig; while vidal and belladona continue to canoodle, sophie stoops over to suck on ribas and finish him off with a brisk, highly watchable handjob! just listen to his groans of faustian ecstasy!

there's much more of belladona in this twelve-scene gothic masterpiece, but i've got writer's cramp (yes, i said "writer's" cramp, not "wa..." ... oh, never mind!) meanwhile, here is belladona in a magazine photoset. these are my favourite mag pics of her:

incidentally, nach vidal makes a reference in the 'faust' 'report' to another film made by jose m. ponce called 'gothix'. anyone know anything about this?

Check out this 'Rock and Cocks' photoset from Pirate magazine #82. Silvia Lancome or Siouxsie Sioux?

Maybe it's just me, but the girl on the cover of Private#183 seems to bear quite a resemblence to Nightwish vocalist Tarja. Especially in their 'Nemo' video...

Oh, by the way Baskkk, if you don't think Goth has permeated to Eastern Europe yet, check out 'Astronomicon' by Without Face (on Earrache Records)...Hungarian symphonic metal, with the operatic vocals of the beautiful Juliette Kiss (who has sadly since left the group  ). If you don't have it already, I'd recommend it...try downloading 'In The Garden' if you have a P2P filesharer to get an idea of them. Or try looking for any online review of it...they are universally fulsome in their praise. Shame it's only six (fairly long) tracks in duration though!

She might not be a Private girl (although we can dream :D !), but she's a goth, and Hungarian...and well, we all know how good looking those gorgeous Magyar girls are, don't we? And she sounds as good as she looks, which is saying something!

Thanks for the tip, Daniel. I've checked out Nightwish's official site for some pictures of Tarja, and yes, I agree that there is a resemblance with Cristina Bella, the cover girl of Private mag #183. Cristina is Hungarian, and her recent cosmetic surgery seems to have left her with a slightly harder look around the face - a little closer to Tarja's bone structure than Juliette's.

I didn't find a goth scene when I was in Budapest (which doesn't mean there isn't one), but last Hallowe'en I was in Bucharest and discovered a really friendly goth nite, St. Vitus' Dance, whose promoters assured me they were the sole champions of goth in that city. They played The Sisters of Mercy just for me!

Nevertheless, all three ladies have structures I'd like to bone :D ...and don't get me started on Lacuna Coil's delectable Cristina Scabbia  !!!

A goth night in the ostensible homeland of Dracula, named after a Bauhaus song, and they played Sisters of Mercy for you....could you get anymore gothic than that, I wonder?

What did they play for you, by the way? Temple of Love? This Corrosion? Or something else?

Sweet...just re-read your earlier post, and to answer my question as to what could be more gothic than being in the homeland of Dracula, in a goth club named after a Bauhaus song, having the Sisters of Mercy played for you, I just realised that the answer is being in the homeland of Dracula, in a goth club named after a Bauhaus song, having the Sisters of Mercy played for you...on Hallowe'en!

Sounds like the perfect way to spend Hallowe'en to me!!!

Cora Menson's parody of 'comedy goth' rocker Marilyn Manson (http://www.privatemembers.com/member/lib/viewpic.asp?listing=%2Fmember%2Flib%2Fmagviewer%2E asp%3Fbrand%3Dprv%26issue%3D188%26maxpages%3D124%2 6mtype%3Dnew&displaytitle=&special=&NO=/content/lib/prv/188/img/prv188m_f098-099.jpg&brand=prv&page=&issue=188&maxpages=124&mtype=new) is a real visual treat. In fact, this issue of Private - no. 188 - has a distinctly gothic emphasis, what with Jessica Fiorentino's and Simony Diamond's photosets... more suited, perhaps, to Pirate magazine? Great stuff; keep it up!!
