Hey Private,
Production on the Fetish Machine line seems to have ground to a halt. What are the future plans for this line? Is Private going to launch a new replacement video line for fetish fans?
I would dearly love to see a return to the stylish videos a-la Tanya Hyde (in spirit if not in person).
Also, as a secondary comment, I would like to see Private offer an all-male fetish DVD line under its Man Size label with the same styling and production values.
Any thoughts people?

Personally I would love to see Private offer a more elegant and understated fetish line. I always found Kovi's offerings brash and garish and almost science fictional in look - too much emphasis on bacofoil costuming and freakish make-up and hairstyles. Occasionally imaginative, but for me a guaranteed wood-slayer.
As I say, I'd love to see a toned-down fetish film, perhaps with a restrained (pardon the pun), aristocratic flavour. Beautiful women; cigarette holders; stately homes; heels; stockings; bullwhips; riding crops; floggings for the young maid; cat o' nine tails for the butler; sperm and silverware; corrupted innocence and the cold, disdainful cruelty of the English upper class, what Ian Fleming called "Sex, snobbery and sadism".
How about it, Private? I'll write the script!

flashboy, have you tried any of the early 'pirate video productions', directed by frank thring? some of these have understated scenes which achieve a moody intensity. they may be more to your taste, and they're now available on dvd. check out 'broken dreams', for example, which stars the sexy but soulful miralda, and is set in an austrian country mansion. miralda's persona has about it the same 'film noir' whiff of abused vulnerability which ian fleming wrote into many of his girl characters for the james bond novels.
the style of the 'pirate video productions' is usually much lower-key than the style of the 'pirate fetish machine' series - but personally i like this later range too, and i enjoy the lurid cyberbabe look that it often gives to the girls.

Hi Baskkk, yes I vividly recall Broken Dreams. It came very close to the ambience I'm after - particularly in the opening scene, where Miralda's tool-troubling derriere is perfectly accentuated by jodpuhrs (a personal fetish of mine).
Did you ever see her appearance in Sex, trading under the name Obsession?

It's a horny shoot, but look out for possibly the most fucked-up cum shot in Private history...
Madboy, I like the sound of those upcoming fetish epics. 'House Of The She Wolves' sounds fantastically pulpy, while Thring's 'Secret Delights of Baroness Kinky' sounds as if it's close to my decadent aristo fantasies (Thring has a tendency toward the great British tradition of the Carry On in his movies, but hopefully he's playing this one pretty straight, a la Broken Dreams). If not, hand me a camcorder, a riding crop and some chambermaids and I'll make you a classic!

I agree that the sight of miralda in jodhpurs is totally intoxicating! i like the melancholy sequence at the beginning of 'broken dreams' where miralda trudges through snow and then pauses to gaze wistfully at the mansion, reminiscing about happier times... thring's camera is soon making the most of miralda's bottom, which is tightly sheathed in the jodhpurs, and before we know it the subtle sense of sadness in the scene has given way to overpowering lust...
i think that thring's 'Carry On...' phase is found mostly in his movies for the later range, 'pirate video deluxe'. see the forum topic 'private cameos' for my comments about the broad humour of thring's personal appearances in 'the academy', for example... flashboy, i share your hope that thring will return to a more serious note in his new work.
despite the fetish trappings, 'pirate' movies have always been primarily about the sex, of course - the sucking, fucking, anal and cumshot routines such as we find in all releases from private. those of us who relish porn which indulges fetish practices like spanking and humiliation as ends in themselves have to go elsewhere to find it... i, too, have a penchant for pervy victoriana, cruel masters and whipped young parlour maids!
thanks for pointing out the miralda photoset in sex #17. my favourite pic is the hardcore version of the cover (p.3):

as evidence in the case for the defence, i would submit the following image of patricia diamond from the 'metal lust' scene in 'sexterminators':

the wild blaze of red face paint around patricia's eyes sets off their light brown colour magnificently - and the silver glitter all over her face and hair anticipates droplets of cum in the spunk-up she will inevitably inspire...

I have to chip in here and say that I really quite liked the scale and feeling of staging that Kovi put into his movies. But his costuming drove me crazy - what was with all that bizarre reptile latex stuff?
I didn't even really mind the makeup as much as the repeated use of the same costumes. If the girls were being sold-out stylewise, the guys got off even worse. What guy would be seen dead wearing short chaps (doesn't that mean he couldn't afford the real thing?). And those really annoying chunky heeled shoes - get some decent 10-hole paratrooper boots for those boys for goodness sake!
Anyway... if we could combine the sweeping shots and large spaces of Kovi's work with the costuming and darker sensibilities of Tanya Hyde with the 'nowness' of Gotardi (but with the better looking male talent of Hyde), then I think that would be a pretty damn good mix.
Oh... and the women should always be in control and the men should wear gloves and boots at all times... (okay, getting selfish here, but that would make me really happy  ).

i think your points are well made, cowlam. a scene which, for better or for worse, is a typical illustration of kovi's handling of light S/M themes in the 'pirate fetish machine' series is 'metal dominas' from the film, 'funky fetish horror show' (dvd scene selection 2). lolita and myli are a pair of full-bodied blonde bitches who strut through a big bacofoil set while blue and violet lights sweep to and fro across the shimmering space in disco style. myli wields a whip while lolita carries a crop. the girls are snarling and directing mean looks at the kneeling slaveboy who's trapped at their mercy behind bars in a kennel-shaped cage. i'm not sure who this poor chap is, for the process of elimination which i tried to apply to the male cast list in the film's 'production notes', using some prior knowledge of who's who, left me, still, with two possibilities: i think the guy must be either diether von stein or zolee. the girls begin to swipe at him with their instruments of punishment, but they do so in a fashion which is at best halfhearted and which gives rise to the suspicion that despite their domina bravado they are, at heart, as soft as pussy cats. it's less a flogging than a flicking. in any event, the hunk is humbled. the chief humiliation is probably his costume, and here i acknowledge that cowlam has a point. manly though this prisoner is - what with his aggressive flat top and ample hard muscle - he undeniably looks silly and camp in his shiny briefs, ankle boots, arm bands and body straps. myli attaches a chain to his dog collar, then she tugs him out of his kennel and leads him around on all fours. lolita straddles him and eggs him on by giving his haunches a tap or two with her crop. they push his head into a bowl of dog biscuits, then they force him to kneel upright and to waggle his forearms and wrists around for them in imitation of a performing circus hound. after a further round of prodding and goading, myli lies back on the top surface of a cage and lolita pulls the slave across it, in between myli's legs, so that he can begin to lick her out. so begins the sex, and the scene never looks back...

The idea of a Vampirella parody is very appealing. I, too, had a thing for this bloodsucking femme fatale when I was a lad, and I spent longer than was really good for me absorbed in repeated readings of her original mags, published by Warren Comics. The cover paintings held a special fascination for me, and I was endlessly thumbing through the artwork of Franzetta, Sanjulian, Enrich, Gonzales and Silke. I remember, for example, indulging in frequent contemplation of the cover of 'Vampirella' #18:
http://www.pixeltube.com/wmc/shtml/v18.html
This image would be a wonderful artistic cue for a scene in a Private movie entitled 'The Vampire Fuckers'. I would cast Steve Holmes as the cowering 'Count Cockula', and Ginger as 'Cuntella' - the star of the show.
Ginger's name is, of course, a comical misnomer, since she has dark hair, just like Vampirella! In her movies, Ginger's look resembles closely the image of Vampi as realised on the #18 cover (but minus the fangs!). When watching Ginger's scenes, it's easy to see how casting her in this role would work amazingly well. If an audition is required, look no further than her scenes in 'Reality #19: Beds of Sin', and 'Body Shock'. Here's a pic of Ginger in a somewhat different role, as Aisha, a geisha:
http://www.privatemembers.com/member/lib/magviewer_bop.asp?displaytitle=&special=&brand=bop&page=32&issue=14&maxpages=256&mtype=new
There are other possibilities for a 'fantasy' casting of Cuntella, which occur to me when pondering certain resemblances between Vampirella artwork and images of Private babes. For example, check out the sexy haughtiness of Vampirella, as seen on the cover of #19 of her mag, and the similarity of this to the fetish look of Michelle Wild in her latex photoset:
http://www.pixeltube.com/wmc/shtml/v19.html
http://www.privatemembers.com/member/pht/viewpic_pht.asp?page=1&bigpic=exist&No=441_1
Or marvel at how closely Cristina Bella resembles the image of the vampire vixen as realised on the cover of the Silver Anniversary Edition of 'Vampirella of Drakulon' (Cristina should remember, however, that vampires cast no reflection!):
http://www.vampifan.com/harris/jpgs/classic/vofd00.jpg
http://www.privatemembers.com/member/pht/viewpic_pht.asp?page=1&bigpic=exist&No=473_14
Other contenders for the part of Cuntella? As bawdy mentions, there's always Mandy Bright: she has the ideal face and figure for a Vampirella character - the image of a retro Playboy model turned nasty with plenty of domina potential. (Mandy would have to keep her hair dyed black, though.)
As a pleaser for poster Bram, our movie 'The Vampire Fuckers' would need to include a parody of the scene in 'Bram Stoker's Dracula' where the Brides of Dracula prey on Keanu Reeves' character, Jonathan Harker.
In 1992, Francis Ford Coppola incorporated to his 'Bram Stoker's Dracula' references to numerous 'moments' in the history of vampire movies throughout the twentieth century. For example, this highly erotic scene where the three foxy bloodsuckers seduce and feed on Harker is shot and edited as a kind of homage to the schlock horror of early 70s Hammer releases like 'The Vampire Lovers' and 'Lust for a Vampire' - but Coppola goes beyond even that, to flirt with some of the codes and conventions of porn. Coppola's scene is, of course, a 'softcore' piece, but as the Brides of Dracula set about the entranced and helpless Keanu Reeves, Coppola manages to evoke the kind of intense intimacy that we find in blowjob or group sex sequences in 'hardcore' porn. Perhaps Private should now repay Mr. Coppola the compliment of an acknowledgement, with a hardcore parody of the scene... My casting choices for the three spooky undead harlots would be Donna Marie, Niky Belluci and Lucky. (Lucky appears in a scene in 'Cleopatra'. Can we see more of her, please?) Bobbi Eden, being Dutch, would make a superb Professor 'Pussy' Van Helsing!
As for directing 'The Vampire Fuckers': yes - let Susi Medusa loose on it - with a big budget and, perhaps, a creative partnership with Romagnoli or Jose M. Ponce...?
Incidentally, the high standard and the style of the special fx make-up in the Private Ninn release 'Perfect' leave me wondering whether some of the make-up team hadn't also worked on 'Bram Stoker's Dracula', or at least used reference materials from it: the prosthetic mask created for Ninn's Demon in the dp scene with Jodie Moore is very close indeed to a mask worn by Gary Oldman when Dracula appears in his demonic incarnation. Was this the same make-up talent? (It's excellent work, which puts to shame the third-rate use of prosthetic make-up in Private's 'Eternal Love'.)
In 'The Vampire Fuckers', Cuntella's full name would be Cuntella Karnstein. This would be a nod to Sheridan Le Fanu's character, Mircalla Karnstein, as played, respectively, by Ingrid Pitt and Yutte Stensgaard in Hammer's 'The Vampire Lovers' and 'Lust for A Vampire' (both 1970). These were the first mainstream vampire flicks in which the focus of the undead's attention transferred openly from neck to nipple. Ms. Pitt, who still makes occasional guest appearances at vampire festivals, could perhaps be persuaded to reprise her role as Mircalla for a brief cameo performance in 'The Vampire Fuckers' - now that would be a coup! The opening scene would be set on the planet Drakkulon, where Mircalla bids farewell to her young protegee Cuntella and sends her on a mission to Earth to infect humankind with the curse of eternal lust and overthrow the evil dynasty of Count Cockula... I foresee a trilogy...

Is anybody at Private sold on my outline for a vampire movie? I've been developing this in my last post, inspired by bawdy's original suggestion and Vampirella namecheck.

I'm certainly sold on it, Baskkk. Inspired work! Lovely to see you take an idea and run with it. Did you know that the sequence where the three vampire lovelies seduce Jonathan Harker was the pivotal moment in Bram Stoker's conception of Dracula? It was a scene that came to Stoker in a (presumably wet) dream, and so haunted him that he wrote the novel years later.
Hammer Horrors always gave me the horn as a lad, though I remember Dracula AD 1972 was a bit of a disappointment when I finally caught it on a late night telly showing. I'd convinced myself that Christopher Lee would be immersed in the world of 70s Soho - all strip joints and knocking shops, complete with groovy London tarts who would have stepped from the pages of Knave. Sadly it wasn't to be... but I'd seen a poster for the movie where a naked, muff-flaunting chick was sprawled on the bonnet of a sportscar as Drac leered over her... Bloody posters, eh?
Private could distil the horny essence of Hammer brilliantly, especially with their European sensibilities, not to mention babes. I'd love to see a hardcore return to the girls' finishing school in The Vampire Lovers!

Thanks, guys. 'Dracula AD 1972' is actually amongst my favourite Hammer horrors. Christopher Lee looks absolutely depraved in it - and although it's true that after the pre-credits sequence he never roams beyond his lair at the desanctified church, the scene in which he subdues and gets stuck into the hysterical and whimpering Laura (Caroline Munro) is one of the most vivid instances of perversion in the entire Dracula series. As for the contemporary milieu, Jessica Van Helsing (Stephanie Beecham) and her bohemian friends hang out in a fashionable Chelsea bar, so we do get some sense of a swinging seventies London in the scenes with them.
Young, blonde and buxom Linda Hayden plays Alice in 'Taste the Blood of Dracula', and she's my favourite Hammer starlet. I certainly have, before now, jacked off to the bedroom scene in which Alice, attired in a revealing nightdress, is threatened with a whipping by a drunken Victorian patriarch and then 'turned' by the evil Count. 'Scars of Dracula' includes a farcical but arousing scene in which a comedy burgomaster chases his scampering, naked daughter to her bedroom, intent on punishing her for her promiscuous behaviour, while she holds on desperately to a bed sheet as the only means of concealing her boobs. (Very 'Benny Hill', all this.) But the sexiest Hammer Dracula of them all is the last one, 'The Satanic Rites of Dracula', which at times really pushes the envelope in the direction of soft porn.
Flashboy, I know from reading another topic in the forum that you have a thing for twins. I wonder if you've ever seen Hammer's last instalment of the Karnstein trilogy, 'Twins of Evil'. Madeleine and Mary Collinson are two gorgeous young models who play orphaned Vienesse twins. They spend their time between attempts to avoid a whipping from their disapproving Puritan uncle, and speculation about the intentions of Karnstein's handsome but debauched Count. The twins are two more characters I would suggest for inclusion in Private's very own vampire movie...
It occurs to me that, despite all the obvious differences, there are certain interesting similarities between much porn production and how Hammer was working as a relatively small, low-budget studio: e.g. efficiency in using the same locations and sets, and much of the same cast, for different movies made within a single production block; use of 'contract talent'; and an unashamed re-hashing of established genres, with a willingness to give the audience exactly the sorts of set-ups, cliches and climaxes they had come to expect and were paying to see. Hammer films certainly achieved a popularity with their target audience, and this represented a real commercial success when set against the often low costs of production. Hammer was an example of a small-scale but successful British adaptation of the classic 'studio system' of the golden age of Hollywood production. It is sometimes said that nowadays, in a world where the practices of mainstream movie-making have changed, the only companies which really continue to use that old 'studio system' are the porn producers - and they use it with enormous success.
Maybe our own King of the Vampires Bram could make a cameo :!: I'm sure Mandy Bright would be interested, noticed she also has a thing for Vampires, all l that warm gluggy fluid :!:
In the Dracula movie by Francis Coppola shot in 1992, there is a very
erotic scene with 3 vampires and Jonathan Harker. These 3 vampires
are released from some mysterious bottle. I had always the impression
that this scene should have been extended as well as many other scenes
in this movie. But of course, than it would cross the borderline had become
a porn movie. This is maybe a good point for Susi to pick up the story line.
In the interview ORGAZMIK Online: Interview with Susi Medusa Gottardi
I believe the uncut version of Tinto Bass' CALLIGULA to be the best sex-movie ever made.
This was one of the first porn movies I ever saw, I was shocked and
intrigued at the same time. I still want to see this movie again some day.
But it would be a great challenge to have a Private remake of this
movie by Susi.

Baskkk,
thanks for the nostalgic walk down mammary lane, I'd forgotten how hot Vampi was! I can now see why my mother didn't approve of my choice of comic book super hero as a kid!
Would love to see Susi have a go at a XXX version of Vampirella's adventures. Of course a large part of Vampi's sex appeal has to do with her incredibly hot costume (J Lo's dress was a pale imitation!), some porn directors appear to be too eager to disrobe their female leads, maybe that's part of the appeal of fetish where costumes are given more emphasis. Susi certainly has better fashion sense than Kovi with some of his outlandish outfits! As for casting, definitely Mandy Bright and Laura Angel for starters and Baskkk as scriptwriter. With Van Helsing coming out soon staring Hugh Jackman, you'll also need a handsome Aussie male lead, I'll let you know if someone comes to mind ...

Aha... Great minds are clearly thinking alike! This is good news indeed! I wonder whether Susi and Private have considered shooting among the ruins of the castle of Elizabeth Bathori, the original 'Countess Dracula'. This Slovakian site is extraordinarily beautiful, situated among green hills and forests. It would make an ideal exterior location! As yet the castle ruins have been under-exploited by the media, and there's been no major development of tourism around the neighbouring town - despite the symbolic significance of Elizabeth Bathori to we goths!
There's always the Transylvanian castle of Vlad the Impaler, the Count himself, but that's a more obvious location, surrounded by cheesy tourist activity. Hungary is a country which would give plenty of options, as it has no end of castles...

Vampire Cameos
Ingrid Pitt ... who still makes occasional guest appearances at vampire festivals, could perhaps be persuaded to reprise her role as Mircalla for a brief cameo performance ...
I see that Gazzman's 'Surf Fuckers', which I've just ordered, includes a cameo by Eileen Daly, who's best known for her starring role as a cat-suited vampire assassin in the mainsteam cult goth flick, 'Razor Blade Smile' (Jake West, UK). I'm very much looking forward to seeing 'Surf Fuckers', but it will of course be a 'sun, sea and sand' experience rather than a darkwave one. Now that Eileen's touched base with Private, maybe Susi Medusa could invite her to do another cameo for us, this time in Private's proposed vampire movie - a genre more familiar to Eileen and her fans.

That pic of her captures the classic pre-vamp innocence before the transformation into a cum hungry nympho (http://www.privatemembers.com/member/lib/viewpic.asp?brand=sxm&listing=%2Fmember%2Flib%2Fmagviewer%2Easp%3Fbrand% 3Dsxm%26issue%3D4%26maxpages%3D132%26mtype%3Dnew&NO=/content/lib/sxm/004/img/sxm004m_f050-051.jpg&displaytitle=&special&brand=sxm&page=&issue=4&maxpages=132&mtype=new)

Thring's 'Secret Delights of Baroness Kinky' sounds as if it's close to my decadent aristo fantasies
There's a scene in this movie where Zora Banks whacks Frank Thring's bare ass with a crop really hard, several times. It's all over with fairly quickly, but it's the hardest spanking stuff I've ever seen in a Private movie - quite close in its effect to 'spanking genre' material which some other producers specialise in. Kinky indeed!

Good to see this thread has been ressurected!
Does anyone know what the plans are for future Pirate fetish movies? I'm still hoping for something more like good old Tanya Hyde's films.
...And I really love the layouts in Pirate Magazine and I wish the movies could be direct video-equivalents of those vignettes - they're so much more stylized and kinked-up.

Madboy, perhaps you could ask Susi to keep us posted...
I wonder if there has been any progress on this project? Hey Bassk, whereabouts is this castle you mention? I might be driving by that way soon.
Thanks mate,

Cachtice Hrad / Visnove (Slovakia)
Hi, Bawdy. Elizabeth Bathori's castle is in ruins on a hill in Cachtice which towers above the village of Visnove. You can clamber around the ruins and enjoy some spectacular views of rural Slovakia. By car you can get to the foot of the castle on a road from Cachtice Square (about three kilometres) and then do five minutes on foot, or you can walk all the way from Visnove village on foot (about thirty minutes).
I befriended an entrepreneur from Visnove who was complaining about the under-exploitation of Cachtice Hrad. He felt that much more of a tourist industry could be developed around this national monument. There was a small shop / museum in the village which was selling Elizabeth Bathori books and post cards but its opening hours were erratic and that was really all there was by way of tourist information. For me the fact that the village is unspoiled was a major point in its favour, and like many of Slovakia's beauty spots Catchtice Hrad can be enjoyed in relative peace. Elizabeth Bathori's story is, of course, redolent of gothic horror, and the site would make a wonderful movie location.
Bran Castle / Poiana Brasov (Romania)
Bran Castle is "Castle Dracula", having some historical links with Vlad the Impaler. It is a fourteenth century fortress located at Poiana Brasov, near Romania's second city Brasov.
Castles in Hungary
I once took the train from Prague to Budapest through Bratislava. During the Hungarian leg of the journey, in the approach to Budapest, I was fascinated by the number of hilltop castles and fortresses that can be seen - and of course Buda has its own Castle District.
From the selfish point of view of a tourist I found that overall there is a great deal of 'unspoiled' beauty in these countries, and many of the people are very beautiful. Of course there is also a great deal of poverty in some places, too.
I hope you have a great time on your travels, Bawdy!

Thanks alot for the info Baskkk, I will definitely pay the site a visit as it fits my planned route nicely. Let's hope Susi's vampire flick is released soon.

I've recently returned from a visit to Brasov, and really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere in this beautiful Transylvanian town.
I don't know if our requests for a Private vampire-themed film will ever be met, but Simony Diamond's werewolf photoset (http://www.privatemembers.com/member/lib/viewpic.asp?listing=%2Fmember%2Flib%2Fmagviewer%2E asp%3Fbrand%3Dprv%26issue%3D188%26maxpages%3D124%2 6mtype%3Dnew&displaytitle=&special=&NO=/content/lib/prv/188/img/prv188m_f078-079.jpg&brand=prv&page=&issue=188&maxpages=124&mtype=new) in Private magazine #188 is rich in gothic atmosphere... featuring sexual predators with nasty-looking fangs!

Hi guys,
I've heard on the grapevine, that Private (with Susi) have been writing and projecting a vamp themed movie over the past months!
Susi tells me she has the girls, the digibeta crew, the original screenplay ready, the original soundtracks, and also the real ancient castles in East Europe where to shoot it!!!
Keep giving your hot support to get it off the ground & who knows, it may happen yet! How cool would that be?
I'll keep you posted with any updates...

Sounds promising. No one does it like the twisted Susi. I can hardly wait!
Looks like Private is releasing a new POV line 2 with Tony Ribas and David Perry at the helm, excellent :!:

More like this?

My casting choices for the three spooky undead harlots would be Donna Marie, Niky Belluci and Lucky.
In Coppola's film, one of the brides is actually Monica Bellucci, then a newcomer. It's a pity that Nikki Bellucci has quit porn, because she would be one really fine option for that part.

Concerning Tinto Brass' Caligula, personally I think it is a crappy film. At best, a schizoid mix of miserably bad porn with tasteless 'historical' gruesomeness. That's what you get with three different directors, each one filming his own version of the script.

Actually, it wouldn`t suprise me if Ms Medusa could see the "beauty" in something like that.....

It wouldn't surprise me either if Ms Medusa managed to make Gore Vidal's script work the way Bob Guccione intended, i.e., seamlessly blending classic Hollywood sword and sandal extravaganza with hardcore pornography. She's certainly got a far better taste than Brass in depiction of depravity. Conversely, I can't imagine Brass making films for Private. Maybe Anabolic, but not Private.
Let's say that Ms Medusa is to Stanley Kubrick the way Tinto Brass is to Skeeter Kerkove.:-D
By the way, I recently watched - or at least tried to watch - a few Brass's films, namely Monella, The Voyeur, Transgressions and one whose title I can't remember now. I couldn't make it to the end of any of them, and I was also fast-forwading for most of the time. Rarely have I seen something so third-rate and silly as these films. They sell sex so pitiably, so pathetically, that one might feel inclined to become a monk or something. The Catholic Church should seriously consider using Brass's films to promote abstinence just in case they're still hell-bent on preventing people from fucking; that might be effective.
