I noticed that some new titles (e.g. Sin Island) has an anamorphic widescreen picture format. Others do have 5.1 surround sound (e.g. Private Gladiator).

Why do not record all new movies in anamorphic 16:9 format to get best picture quality. I think picture quality is most important in adult industy and I really would appreciate it if all new Private movies would have an anamorphic picture. This would further distinguish Private from other players in adult industry, wouldn't it.

What is Anamorphic? :? Is there an L missing from the word after the second A? Does it mean that the girls have to have morphine to deaden the pain of huge cocks being shoved up their gorgious arse holes?

...Why do not record all new movies in anamorphic 16:9 format to get best picture quality...

The issue here is the indended purpose of the movies.

The entire audience for adult movies is solely for TV use, there isn't much point in shooting in widescreen until more people have access to wide screen TV's. 99% of productions are shot a 4:3 as its still the standard for TV.

Film releases on the other hand are shot at 2.25:1 and then downsampled to 16:9. they are already in a 'wide screen' format for cinema and because of this its more logical for them to use widescreen for DVD.
