Viewing The Tower again recently I noticed that the director, Pierre Woodman, makes a couple of very brief cameo appearances as one of the security guys at the Tower. Are there any other cameos in any other Private productions?

i don't know of any other brief appearances by private directors in their own work which would be, like bawdy's example, in the tradition of alfred hitchcock's cameos.
i'd like to comment, though, on the extended cameos by frank thring in two of his pirate video deluxe films, 'the academy' and 'the club'. in each case thring himself gets to enjoy a girl.
in 'the academy' thring gives a comic turn as the oafish, bumbling director of a finishing school for porn actresses who likes to spy on sandra russo through key holes - and who can blame him? sex goddess sandra, clad in gleaming black fetish wear and boots, catches thring in the act. she promptly squats on him and sucks him off.
this scene is called 'dirty frank thring' in the dvd edition. thring is an englishman (at least i think he is), and the lecherous, inept buffoon he plays here is a type from english comedy. by no stretch of the imagination does he look the part of a stud - in fact, he bears more than a passing physical resemblance to plump english comedian benny hill in middle age, at the height of his fame. yet thring manages to hose sandra russo with his bulbous todger as if he was running a tap - the spunk flows onto sandra's brow, nose, lips and chin, up her nostril and into her mouth. thring's cream dribbles down the full length of her beautiful pornstar face.
in 'the club', thring is vigorously whipped and dominated by ellen, a girl much younger than himself - and a right tornado of a bitch she is, too. once again he discharges magnificently, lashing her face with spunk. dirty frank thring, indeed!
it's perhaps surprising that englishman steve perry has no cameo in 'money for nothing, sex for free', his feature movie for private. (at least, i don't think he has a cameo.) i say surprising because perry, aka ben dover, certainly gives himself a share of the on-screen goings-on in the films he makes for his own label.

The voice over comments on how lazy he is, always reading the paper when he should be monitoring the security cameras, probably why he has never seen the killer. I thought that was pretty funny :lol:

I believe Woodman appeared in one of the gigolo films as a priest. Fancy that!
