Hi, t_o_m! For this scene Kristina plays Betty, a young American tourist who asks a fisherman (John Walton) to take her on a boat trip along the Nile. The fisherman shows Kristina into the hold of his boat (which looks like a studio set), and there they get acquainted. Interesting to see that 'The Pyramid' is back for a new release in digitally re-mastered form. Dutchy has asked whether the release incorporates the trilogy, and it would be good to know although I doubt that this can be the case given the cover price. I assume that Disc 2 is for the Extras.

I guess it's the re-mastering which is the main selling point of the edition, and if this produces an exciting new quality to the picture then hopefully there are other 90s classics which could get the same treatment!

'The Pyramid' is a landmark film for we Britons, as it was the first hardcore porn movie to get and keep a BBFC classification (R18).

Thank you for the info, baskkk, I wasn't aware it was a first in the UK. I was in England in the summer of 1999 when the first VHS true hardcore tapes started rolling out. (Good memories.) I started buying them the following fall; it was the time of the Uranus experiments, No sun, no fun, Madness( for some reson in England we first saw the second part, do you remember? :D :D )

I think that 'The Pyramid' was the first to get an R18 certificate, meaning that the BBFC were okaying it for open sale in licensed UK sex shops. Prior to this, of course, porn tapes and DVDs were available 'under the counter' in UK sex shops as imports or as pirated copies, but without the sanction of the BBFC. The censor was controversially reported as having been impressed by the production values in 'The Pyramid'... and no doubt he was also beguiled by the beauty of Tania Russof!

Thank you for shedding light on that, Baskkk. I remember having bought a couple of tapes in Soho back in '98, maybe spring of '99. I went to this shop, I won't name because it's still there... they apparently had Sweet Baby and Sweet Lady and all that good stuff from Private. Hope you remember the sleeves...
