I joined Private.com lately but did not receive a welcome mail or anything else regarding my membership. Is this normal?

Furthermore i am not able to connect to the private friends site. Any help?

Hi Gigolo, I am the same, joined a while back, I also got no welcome email telling me my user number (thankfully I wrote it down) or password. I have sent many emails about this and got no replys. Very annoying. :cry:

No answer till now from any official?

I have some news for you... currently there seems to be a problem with remote email accounts such as hotmail, yahoo, etc which block emails coming from Private!! Imagine!

Please could you let me know whether you use email of this type... currently we are investigating ways around the problem...

Hi guys,

We have noticed that some SPAM filters do not let Private emails though (sometimes set up by the person and sometimes by the ISP automatically). Lately we are seeing more and more emails bouncing and we are looking into ways to combat this at the moment.

After getting your feedback we have changed the page that appears when you sign up, asking people to print the details and telling them that due to SPAM filters the email confirmation may not go through.

Just for future reference to ensure that all emails we send are received it is important to add the Private email address to your safe list (info@private.com). In some cases even if you do this the ISP will still block the email, but our administrator is contacting many of these ISP's at the moment to help prevent this.

Sorry about the inconvenience guys. But thanks for the feedback, hopefully the measures we have put in place now will help future customers.
