I would recommend Private to re-encode old titles into HD format. I like the idea of buying downloads. However, I am a bit disappointed about the quality of some of the older movies that I have bought. With today's technology and bandwidth, why don't make old movies available as HD downloads?

Which HD format then? I think that 720p would be good enough for old movies, but newer productions should definitely be in 1080p format.

What would this give us? It would give us downloads that have a higher resolution than the DVD version. Hopefully, it would also mean that Private would abandon the wmv format, which is a problem for non Windows users.

Anyone supporting this idea?

Making the old movies available, particularily hose that have never been released on DVD (Private video magazine, many of Triple X Video & Private Stories) is a GREAT idea. Probably one of the smartest things you can do right now, it would please a lot of long time loyal fans.

This is a fantastic idea, I'm looking forward to the chance to once again enjoy the Private movies that I used to watch years ago. However I do remember some years ago Private saying they were going to start a feature where they would make available some of the old photo sets ( it must have been about 5 years ago) and I'm still waiting to see that!!
