I was looking forward to seeing Private's new star director Skeeter Kerkove's movie (also because of Katsumi) "A woman's ass is a beautiful thing", and I managed to rent it last week-end. When I saw the first photos of S. Kerkove some months ago I was sure that he was not a sophisticated guy in film making, he looked rather like a skateboard punk group or a grunch metal band musician. Well, this movie confirmed his approach to porn: rough, simple, presented in an amateur shooting and editing, something that you would call gonzo. So don't wait an Andrew Blake cinematography but those who like this kind of porn don't care about style and quality. The styling is ridiculous, the interiors are poor like in an average cheap porn. So this is about the presentation.

As far as the content is concerned it's not my stuff. Quite good looking girls (but not the top model looking ones) are fucked (mostly anal) roughly by guys having huge dicks and give deep throats. The thing that disturbed me the most is the humiliation of girls, and I am sure that S. Kerkove was moderated since he directs now to Private. In the first scene Gia heaves sometimes when one male actor bundleds his robust cock deep into her mouth. The coreorgraphy is practically always the same during every scene and given that scenes are quite long, the whole movie gets rapidly boring. If you like watching girls brought low and big cock guys fucking them anal and don't bother about filming quality, you will love Skeeter's movies. If you appreciate quality and started to watch Private because of Antonio Adamo's refined style, avoid the coming Xtreme labels (Skeeter has a contract for 15 films under the label).

I share your conservative attitude toward this. Skeeter would be Skeeter whoever subsidized him of course, but I wonder that Michael Raven (for instance) did not make more of an effort to create a Private-style movie given the chance. Budget constraints at the time, perhaps, or just the fact that LA is so remote from Budapest and Prague. Anyway, Private is showing good judgement in restricting the USA directors to the X-treme line.
What is distinctive of Private is--not only the most beautiful girls in the most beautiful places--but the stories. From the photo-sets to the video-mag vignettes to the glamorous super-productions, and even in the Matador series: always attempt is made to provide erotic situations and titillate the imagination as well as the sex glands. Let Private make a killing in the American gonzo market, but only to have more money for real movies.

I hoped that the company had learned that its devotees didn't really care for the Americanisation of their favourite porn provider... i rented 'a woman's ass' when in amsterdam recently (!) and i have to agree with all the comments made so far. there's nothing distinctively 'Private' about this film: it's basically indistinguishable from other american gonzo productions.
the girls are okay, but they're not all equally pretty. skeeter's links between the scenes are formulaic. he demonstrates a sense of humour when talking directly to the camera - he is preoccupied with the girls' youthfulness, their asses and their shiny latex packaging - but after a while the repeated sex routines become monotonous and there is a sense in some of them that the women are being degraded.

again, avery bad choice of private, this is not what we expect from private, wake up private, no more movies like this

I think all this must have marketing and financial considerations. With Skeeter Private can make its name more popular in the US (if Skeeter is really so appreciated in America as he is said) and then diffuse more of its products. On the other hand, as far as I see, Skeeter moviesâ?? budget is really low, at least half of the costs must represent Skeeterâ??s own fee as director. So, the return on the money invested in the new Extreme line can be very high. Thatâ??s another question that we, customers who prefer the Italian style porn and that Private provided till now, wonâ??t buy these products. But if there are more new customers from America than those who donâ??t buy the new products, the income and profitability will rise out of question. The old customers still have those directors who follow the well-tried European (mainly the Italian not the German gonzo) quality style (Gazzman, Romagnoli, Rinaldi, Del Mar, Susi Medusa, etc..). Thus the company has a more diversified product range aiming different needs (certainly respecting some limits).

I want to know why Adamo was sacked and if Pierre Woodman is coming back on board (the only thing that could console me). I bought 1 Skeeter Kerkove movie (not a Private release) a while back and won't be doing so again. Rubbish. I agree with all the comments in this thread (albeit I haven't seen this film). Formulaic and borderline-misogynistic. As is a good deal of US porn.

I'm also not keen on Perry's Xtreme work for similar reasons, albeit without the misogyny. Just a bit formulaic.

Skeeter`s style minght be very "american" and un-Private-ish, but he is very good at capturing a scene and putting the camera where it should be. Personally i like his stuff, although i can see why others think it is crap. Anyway you should have a look at Lauren Phoenix in Anal Love Stories and Katsumi in Ass Games. DP`s don`t come with much more energy than this!
